This week was full of visiting the more popular areas of Tokyo on the search for Sakura. Luckily, I arrived in Japan just as the start of blooming season in Tokyo, but I’m on the lookout for the best views throughout all of Japan. The number one highlight of this week was randomly stumbling upon the coolest area in Shibuya.

All of the food is so good here, especially this tonkatsu place in Sunshine City, Ikebukuro. Tonkatsu is one of my favorite foods to eat back in Hawai'i, so I really enjoyed this meal. I had a combo plate with tonkatsu and crab cream croquette.

I also had McDonald’s in Japan for the first time and their Ebi (Shrimp) Burger is so much better than anything in American McDonalds. I tried Melon Fanta, which was a perfect mix of sweetness and carbonation. I also had a Spring season limited item, the Daifuku Pie, which was tart and sweet.

Next week, I will start Orientations for Hitotsubashi University and the following week, classes will start. Stay tuned!
