This week started out a little rough, as I got sick and stayed home during the first half, but after recovering, I visited Asakusa, an area that resembles old Tokyo, with traditional craft and food stalls along Nakamise-dori street near the historic Sensoji temple.
There were lots of authentic street foods and traditional arts and crafts when walking down Nakamise-dori street. I stopped by for Sonny Angels as omiyage (gift) for friends back home. I also tried Mochinyenyaki and Kagetsudo, cat themed castellas and melon pan with ice cream in Asakusa.

This week, Shidler also hosted the Alumni and Friends Mixer in Tokyo, where I got to meet lots of alumni who now live in Japan. The event was very fun and the special guest speaker, Sandra Fujiyama, spoke about the Walter Dods RISE Center, a new entrepreneurship working space that also acts as a dormitory for students on campus.
